Tour Ratings
To keep things simple we rate our trips as Easy, Moderate or Hard or as we like to call them;
'Wanderer', 'Explorer' and 'Adventurer'
Wanderer (Easy) is suitable for a standard 4wd that has low range and drivers with little 4wd experience. Vehicles should have at least a rear recovery point, a sand flag and carry a UHF radio (hand held is fine). Note that even the easy tracks that we drive have over growth and it is possible that your vehicle will get scratched.
Explorer (Moderate) is suitable for a modified 4wd with low range, suspension lift, snorkel, water blind(tarp ansd occy straps will suffice), rear recovery point, sand flag, good all terrain tyres and a UHF (hand held is fine). Drivers should have some 4wdriving experience.
Adventurer (Hard) is only suitable for well modified 4wd vehicles. As a minimum vehicles should have low range, a 50mm suspension lift, good all terrain tyres, front and rear recovery points, a sandflag, snorkel and a water blind (a tarp and occy straps will suffice). Drivers must have some 4wd experience to do these tours.
5 Day West Coast Adventurer - Hard
The Wild West! This Adventure has everything, from beaches, rainforest, technical rock driving and everything in between! We visit Sandy Cape, Balfour, Corinna and Zeehan. We take in the sites and some of Tasmania's most iconic 4wd tracks and explore Tasmania's unique (and hidden!) mining history. Departs Burnie and ends in Zeehan.
Tracks Include;
Sandy Cape, Balfour Track, Pieman Heads, Climies Track, Montezuma Falls
This is a vehicle based camping trip - swag, tent, roof top tent etc.

6 Day West Coast Explorer - Moderate
The Wild West! Similar to our traditional West Coast Adventurer, this tour takes in some of the best and most scenic 4wd Tracks in Tasmania. Experiences include Sandy Cape, Balfour Track, Pieman Heads Track, Corinna and Zeehan. We take in the sites and some of Tasmania's most iconic 4wd tracks and explore Tasmania's unique (and hidden!) mining history. Departs Burnie and ends in Zeehan.

5 Day East Coast Explorer - Moderate
This Adventure starts in Launceston and finishes on Tassie's East Coast. Experience driving on (almost!) deserted beaches, explore old mining towns and relics, tracks, mountains, rain forests and camp at the stunning Binalong Bay on our very own private campsite.
This is a vehicle based camping trip - swag, tent, roof top tent etc.
Not suitable for camper trailers, caravans etc.
Cost includes all camping fee.!

2 Day Beach to Bush Wanderer (Easy)
This is an easy overnight trip taking in the beach and bush in the North East of Tassie. Incorporated into this trip is training in recovery techniques, making it an ideal trip to ease your way in to one of our West Coast trips. The trip begins and ends in Launceston. A great day ideal for families to take in 4wdriving and exploring. This is a camping trip.

20 Day Tassie Wanderer - Easy
Checkout all of the Tassie highlights by 4wd! This Adventure is on the easier end of the scale with plenty of touring and also some great Tassie 4wdriving!
We checkout the central highlands, east coast, west coast, southern Tasmania including Bruny Island. Along the way we take in some of Tassie's best tourist activities and throw in plenty of 4wdriving too!
There are two options with this tour - accommodated or camping (BYO tent, swag roof top tent etc.)
Not suitable for camper trailers, caravans etc.
